Comparison plagues us all. We measure our own value based on what we see in other people.
This is dangerous.
Most people only show the best parts of themselves. They do their very best to hide there flaws from all but close friends. This makes comparison a losing game.
With ourselves as our biggest critics, we will never amount to the standards set for us by those who professionally hide their shortcomings. We will see our own flaws as unique and terrible.
In reality, most people are probably struggling with many of the same things you are.
The real war of comparison should not be with your peers, but with yourself. The only person you truly have enough information about to make an honest comparison is you.
This is where the war exists, not in the work place, or social media, or a college reunion, but in the grey matter of your brain. It exists in the millions of neurons firing in your head, the things you tell yourself, the challenges you overcome.
Win that war everyday, and the rest of the world will become incomparable.
